Christmas Light Show

Every evening in December, the 55 by 32 metre Chief Post Office in downtown Auckland was enlivened by a large scale projected light show. The only sign of any festivity in a city muted by covid but crying out for life to enter it.

Through the show Aucklanders embarked on a Christmas adventure starting in the heart of the city, before traveling by magic stardust to the North Pole and into Santa's Workshop. Along the way, they danced with mischievous elves, watched as toys and presents were made and wrapped, and spotted Santa's sleigh as he winged his way to the Southern Hemisphere, spreading some much-needed Christmas joy in his wake.
